Liverpool have turned the page twice over. Arne Slot departed after two seasons and Andoni Iraola arrived from Bournemouth in June 2026 to bring his high-pressing 4-2-3-1 to Anfield. The deeper break is in the squad: Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konaté all left on free transfers, ending Salah's nine-year stay on Merseyside. Roughly £92m went the other way, £55m of it on Rennes centre-back Jérémy Jacquet, leaving Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitiké and Florian Wirtz to carry an attack rebuilt in barely two windows. Twenty league titles and six European Cups sit behind them.
