Chelsea have changed manager again. Enzo Maresca left for Manchester City and Xabi Alonso arrived on a four-year contract, inheriting the deepest and youngest squad in the Premier League. The spending did not slow: roughly £313m was committed this summer, headlined by £117m for Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, £52m for Maxence Lacroix and £43m for Marco Palestra. Andrey Santos and Marc Cucurella left for close to £100m between them. Chelsea remain the only club to have won every UEFA men's competition, completing the set with the 2025 Conference League.
