Inter are the champions of Italy. Cristian Chivu's first full season in charge delivered a domestic double in 2025/26 — a 21st Scudetto sealed with three games to spare against Parma, then a tenth Coppa Italia won 2-0 against Lazio — and the Nerazzurri begin 2026/27 with the back line rebuilt from the ground up. Yann Sommer, Stefan de Vrij, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries have all gone; John Stones and Ivan Provedel arrive as replacements and Aleksandar Stanković returns from Club Brugge through a €23m buy-back.
